Cons
Back-breaking work with shoddy or no equipment at unreasonable pace with customers who will literally ram their carts into your knees trying to parkour around the handjack you're stocking from rather than go down another aisle. You have to scan something like 10 items a second but customers will complain you're being too rough with their groceries and try to arrange/bag while you're ringing so you have to slow down to avoid hurting their hands bc they refuse to do it at the bagging counter like they're supposed to. Customers bring their non-service dogs inside all the time, which poop on the floor and snap at kids. You either get up at the crack of dawn or stay long past your shift into the wee hours to "box" the store. They can schedule you to close at 10 and open at 6 and pretend it's okay bc it's technically 8 hours, but it'll end up being like 5. Extended periods stocking in the freezer temps with no breaks. You have to clean up glass multiples times a day bc they put heavy items in cheap boxes on the top shelf. You can rarely finish a task and enjoy a job well done because you're switching stations so often. Doubleback guarantee means cartfuls of even in-date unopened shelf-stable food goes to waste every day.
