Pros

The best pay you're gonna have in any retail market, if you are a student, you can have flexible hours.

Cons

Really depends on the shop you're going to work, I would say to avoid busy areas like working in Aldi Parnell, that is the same as hell sentence.

Pros

Better pay than other supermarkets and during busy periods easy to work extra hours

Cons

The job is okay but quite physically tiring. The hours are very unsociable and instead of just morning shifts 4:00-13:00 or just closing shifts 13:00-22:30 they alternative between the two so you can’t get a good sleep schedule. The hours are very long too and it’s common to work 9-11 hours per shift. All staff are expected to be able work all aspects of the shop floor but many staff members are too lazy to work the stock and just sit on tills, so often some staff members have to carry the load of what other staff members do not do. Most the staff are quite nice apart from a few unpleasant and rude managers.
