Pros

ALDI pays well. Especially for a teen or young adult who wants to get their first job/gain experience. It pays the best in the grocery industry. $11 to start out. It feel close knit environment because of the low number of employees per store.

Cons

Didn't work well for me to be going to collage full time and work here. We were always short staffed and I got WAY more hour then I asked for. It was very hard to do both and felt like no one listened to my requests and needs as a part time employee. However, this may not be a company wide problem rather then my store being a hard one to employ baes on its location.

Pros

Workout, helps you stay in shape. Good pay rate. Some paid holidays.

Cons

High stress if your store team has issues cooperating together. If you have a family and kids, it can be very hard to balance that life and work life and stay happy.

Pros

-Smaller teams enables you to have more of a personal connection with your coworkers/employers Teamwork is great -You're not just stuck doing one job, you get trained throughout the store and become able to flex wherever the need -The company has made some great changes in regards to being more green, being more label conscious about the consumable products that they carry, as well as catering to the targeted demographic needs at each location. -I've heard the benefits were pretty great- I was still under my parents insurance at the time so I had no need to jump onto their plan

Cons

-Not great for someone with a bad back/knees/inability to lift 40+ lbs without struggling -Smaller teams means a lot less chance of finding coverage if someone is unable to work -Lot's of physical work -You're timed for everything that you do- especially sucks if you have a large shipment of pallets to get through -(Pending on where you live) Customers can be very demanding and unruly towards you, demanding that you: -Bag their items for them -Customers have complained about the lack of space to bag their items at the register and will insist that you do it -Completely ignore the bagging counters and attempt to bag their overflowing cart at the register in a way to 'get back at you' -Not to scan their items in the fashion that you were trained to, knowing that the company has very fast check out times -Note: If you're performing the task correctly, there is no need to worry about damaging any items. Though I suppose it looks different in the eyes of the customer
