Pros

I would say that the ‘pros’ are only for the lazy inconsistent employees that act like they can’t do anything. That being: getting laid off for “trying their hardest”

Cons

I’ve been an Aldi employee for 2 years now and the one thing I do say is DO NOT show good work ethic! Reason being is the fact that they will stomp on you! At ALDIs there is no set position, you have to do most of everything. Ive had days where I started in the meat department, finished freezer, bread and pastry. Helped out throwing 6-9 8ft tall pallets of grocery while still being backup for the registers, then after still throwing out all of the trash alone. This is almost DAILY!! • Staff is held by 3 openers daily. One goes to the register, eventually needs backup and the last person is stuck doing all the rest while being timed… • Hours aren’t bad, could be better. Honestly, for the amount of tasks done, all you want is to go home after your 8 hrs (exhausted). •Coworkers do what they feel like and you’re always picking up other adults slack •Growth is impossible since management does what they can to keep you stuck. Only way you’re getting promoted is if someone quits or gets fired. You can be fully prepared, they’ll gaslight you saying they want you growing but in the end say you aren’t prepared because of some stupid excuse. •Management will sit in office all day while telling you what to do and still give you a time span to get it done These past two years have been extremely stressful to the point I need a hair transplant. If you show good work ethic and timing, they will stomp on you! Call out the first time and you’re suddenly the least favorite. Every task you do always has some minor error that they will make a scene out of, while new hires can’t do anything but ring and get laid off easy. I’ve stayed 4 months straight without a weekend off. Literally won’t care if you have family and kids. I could go on and on. ALDIs is good to rack up some cash and leave. Let’s just keep it at that
