Relatively okay salaries. Nice work/life balance. Very low stress job. Most engineers and team managers are nice and easy to work with.

Cons

Thrifty with money. No team or group events or after works. No work travel for engineers to meet and work together. A lot of consultant hiring from India with very low standards. Top management only looks at numbers and not at people making the products

Mass transit is gov subsidized industry not as much as defense or gov work but this company is large and wins lots of bids out of the blue work can be interesting lots of international assignment opportunities

Cons

company is in a build period with huge merger so bonuses are low early phase of massive merger so role of sites in new business will emerge over time
