Pros
* Hired me with no tech experience and no college education. * Allowed me the opportunity to learn many new and cutting edge tech which allowed me to advance within the team. In turn, AMD became a stepping stone to bigger and better jobs at other companies
Cons
* Salary was not competitive. * Expectations were unrealistic and too much "good ole boy" cronyism going on in my group. This was from the 2001-2005 timeframe and that team has all left for greener pastures.
