Pros

The brand, coworkers, pay, and discounts.

Cons

There are so many levels to this company that it is sickening. Maybe I'm just used to working in an open door environment but there's just too many people to go through to get something done. On top of all that mess there is about a million systems that you have to learn how to navigate. As such an innovative company I feel they should have a better way of streamlining all of these systems. AT&T is big on diversity but as a person of color, I did tend to be "picked" on a lot. If it was just me I'd leave at that but this is incorporating reviews that I've gotten from coworkers who were there before me. Overall it was a really stressful environment but not because of the workload, more so the expectations they had of a black employee. If your too quiet, your angry, if your too loud, your "typical". It's hard to find a balance when the cards are stacked against you.

Pros

If you plan on spending a long time with one company and want to build a long term career, this is a great place for you. The LDP program gives you lots of exposure to different projects. Once you become an "LDP" you are branded as someone who is a fast tracker and you will be tapped for various opportunities over your peers. Also has some great benefits.

Cons

Can be very bureaucratic (the downside of working at any large company). To succeed, you have got to have that "go-getter" attitude. Don't expect for anyone to hand you anything. If you want to advance in the company, be prepared to spend a lot of time in Dallas. Promotions are also sparse. The union is an absolute headache to work with. Unfortunately there is little you can do about this. Just put in your time with the management rotation, and quickly move on.
