Pros

-Salary: Generous and Competitive -Pension Plan: One of the few companies with one -Plentiful Training applicable to one's field -Good immediate leadership: My boss will go to the mat for me.

Cons

AT&T is hampered by old land line technologies, and a tortoise approach to new technologies. This is allowing major competitors like Verizon to get a jump on AT&T. The "slow and steady" approach should show that the final product is solid, but many times it isn't. AT&T also has an identity crisis. They have such a large base in wireline, but they want to be a wireless company. Many of the old wireline folks are wasted space in this company, and they all know their legacy SBC, legacy Bell South, or legacy AT&T products very well, but can't go farther than that. This leads to much overlap and unnecessary overhead.

Pros

Great company to start with, although the pay is less.

Cons

Tremendously slow growth. The management should pave way for employees who are younger and have more potential.
