Pros

You can work with customers, union, non-union, move from network, call center, etc to IT & PM positions. If you put in the time & effort to continue your learning opportunities, they will allow you to demonstrate your new skills.

Cons

If you come in on a lower pay scale to get in the door, you may find it hard to get where you should be financially.

Pros

Good Salary. Good Technologies. Lots of upper level management experience. Good perks of the company i.e. discounts for services, etc.

Cons

Transition from Bellsouth to at&t was rough and lost a lot of culture and consideration for the customer. Since my departure I have heard it has gotten better but can't vouch for that..
