Pros

Great people, interesting projects, good corporate culture. It is a good place to work overall. It's especially a good place to start a career since the name and brand of Accenture is so widely known. I don't work there anymore but people still KNOW who Accenture is if I mention the company.

Cons

Working for Solutions, I'd say that the salary was not very good. I left to make ends meet a little more. Consulting gets higher salaries and if I had to do it all over again, that's the division I'd apply for. Your experience at Accenture depends highly on the project. You could end up thinking Accenture is a horrible place to work because you put in 17 hour days or that it's a great place because you work 8 hour days. I had both experiences while working there...once even working until 2am 4 days straight.

Pros

The work benefits seem endless. On top of medical, dental, and vision benefits, they have incredibile discounts on a great number of name brand consumer items. The people are great to work with and are very supportive of new hires and their learning processes. The company also requires you to take a certain amount of training every year and they pay for it all. You are reviewed every 6 months to a year and have a change for a large pay raise each time and possible a promotion (in job description only) which could include an additional raise.

Cons

Even though I just sit at a computer desk all day, I'm not allowed to wear head phones and listen to music while you work, but I do understand the "whys" of this though. It does make the communication lines between people feel more open though, you don't feel that people might not be listening to you.
