Pros

The potential career opportunities within Accenture are fantastic - if you are willing to work for it. If you do a good job it will be recognised. You'll find most people who have submitted a bad review on this site are poor performers who are expecting to be given something for nothing! Also, Accenture has a great reputation throughout the world because it employs great people. Having Accenture on my CV has gold plated it.

Cons

Work /life balance can sometimes be an issue but only when projects are ramping up. Overall, an excellent company to work for.

Pros

You can really make a difference for clients. Now that it's part of Accenture, the client base is huge. In regards to Lean Six Sigma, growing demand far exceeds the supply of consultants. Six SIgma is a very small space within Accenture. Therefore, as a resource the demand issues for our skillset is blessing and a curse!

Cons

Travel is always a negative in regards to work/life balance. Dealing with some of the Accenture folks. The culture of both copanies are very (repeat VERY) different. Not sure how employees in this practice will be ranked relative to those in the traditional pracice areas.

Pros

Breadth of exposure to all parts of big business and senoir people giving you a solid understanding of the indutry you service - more so than if you were in a line roe at one of Accenture's clients.

Cons

Lack of consistet representation during performance reviews can make promotions difficult and stressful, and seem unfair if your boss is not good at poeple management. If you are unlucky enough to be out of town this can have a significant impact on your work / life balance. Unfortunately you have to work anywhere, so this is completely out of your control so you have to be prepared for anything
