Cons

The company appears to rely heavily on agility as a substitute, rather than fostering a distinct and cohesive culture. The considerable presence of "expatriate" staff poses a challenge in establishing shared interests among employees. There is a discernible element of exclusivity, particularly noticeable within an inner circle comprising individuals with longer tenures or those who relocated together. The company has seemingly outgrown its initial structure, fostering an environment where employees have witnessed notable career advancements and ample compensation. However, this positive sentiment has waned due to a decline in demand from more nuanced consumer preferences. The absence of established processes has led to a culture of individualized project initiatives ('mushroom projects'), with a noticeable lack of clear ownership or accountability for these endeavors. This decentralized approach has further been exacerbated by the setup of numerous departments with dedicated budgets for their staffing. Consequently, there's a concerning lack of knowledge exchange among these siloed departments across regions, resulting in substantial duplication of efforts and replicated work across various teams. Decision-making processes are erratic, leading many to seek ownership without a structured framework in place. In terms of upper management, directives are often singularly attributed to key individuals, leading to a top-down approach that lacks holistic consideration. This approach, prevalent at all organizational levels, reflects a 'done yesterday' mentality without due reflection on needs and requirements. Feedback mechanisms are lacking, contributing to a sense of disconnection between management and the workforce. Informal discussions during office interactions tend to generate excessive workloads for employees, diluting focus from overarching project planning and shared goal alignment. The organizational hierarchy strongly influences operational dynamics. Considering the aforementioned challenges, roles within the company often entail substantial change management responsibilities and necessitate navigating resistance, often camouflaged under the guise of agility. When it comes to presenting work deliverables, there appears to be a culture of critical examination, where presentations prompt extensive questioning. This lack of decorum can occasionally detract from a sense of mutual respect and appreciation. Interruptions during presentations are commonplace, requiring a continual readiness to defend one's work. Moreover, the lack of acknowledgment for upward-bound deliverables creates an environment where each individual, irrespective of position, assumes an assistant-like role. Navigating through provided artifacts, primarily data-centric, requires reinterpretation, refinement, and rhetorical enhancement to ensure smooth upward dissemination."

Pros

Co-workers are amazing and extremely friendly, many networking opportunities, comfortable travel accommodations, able to work with many cross-functional teams, new/exciting projects, and hybrid work schedules.

Cons

Constant org. Restructure (every 8 months), time-consuming and inefficient structures (promotions & comms), ongoing leadership changes, little to no transparency, FAST work environment, low work-life balance, communication issues with global (this issue creates constant changes to future 6-month business outlook)
