Good place to work for an engineer

Pros

The systems and processes are extremely complex and unique, if you enjoy solving "puzzles" and can remember a lots of small things - you will be a king of engineering here!

Cons

The complexity of processes partly come from multiple historical layers of code that you still have to support and generally don't have much time to re-engineer. Also if you don't want to convert yourself from an engineering type of position to people management - you will not have much room to grow as a technical person.
