"If it works, don't touch it" seems to be the slogan of the corporate, meaning people has no comprehension about what is going on in their programs and how to correctly evolve them.
There is no space to evolution and innovation because of very old back-end the entire corporate is working on. All the efforts are dedicated to maintain old stuff that are mostly broken. If you work on different and nice projects that are inside Amadeus, management does not care at all, giving you the opportunity to grow only individually but not in the corporate (overall not bad if you plan to leave fast).
If you don't speak very good French, you won't become manager.
If you don't care at all about your job and you have no ambitions, you will have the so far mentioned "good work/life balance", because no one will come to you saying you are not doing anything, basically. If you are ambitious and you really care of the results of your job, instead, you have to do also other people's work.
There are a lot of useless and boring change management processes to follow, confirming that changes are not very welcome inside Amadeus. This means that you will lose a good percentage of your work in doing useless stuff, mostly because they have no clear vision of changes and components involved and they treat everything in the same way.
After this nightmare picture, overall my experience was not completely bad because I had the opportunity to grow a lot individually as a Software Developer.
