Pros

Multicultural environment Great place to learn new technologies. Very good place to start as a first job, in order to acquire knowledge. Overall good work-life balance. Although not very flexible, working hours are not too long.

Cons

Far away from Boston Strong European presence and spirit. This tends to favor people working on other sites rather than local employees for management opportunities, and pushes people out earlier. It also affects a lot flexibility for the employees.

Pros

Great international team working on a great project. The first year was really cool as we were like a start-up with "unlimited budget" in this huge company. Low level management was really good and supportive.

Cons

High level management turned the company into an "investment company with quick cash return expectations" and started to kill innovations teams one after another. I saw literally zero respect or compassion towards the teams. Entire units were shut down when the market was looking forward to their products, simply because they would not be profitable early enough.

Pros

Multicultural. Good director. Great climate. The region is lovely, work is not too stressful at all and you can easily get to Italy and have a decent food! :-)

Cons

The first impression is that there are 10 people to do the job that one could do it. Amadeus is rich and not too much worried to lose new sales, as long as GDS business will keep on maintaining everyone. Pay in my case was poor; HR offered my previous salary and I accepted because I wanted to see and live the company, the region, the sport structures, CE discounts, baby-foot tournaments and many pretty girls...:-). The bonus is ridicoluos. Performant people get 3-4% more than slackers so on average and after some time, everyone becomes a slacker! Many people don't want to take responsibility, everyone wants to live in his own world and not challenge the others to perform better. The company is good for graduate, but after a few years you will stop learning and improving. I got wind of a discrimination rule. It seems that university creates some differences in pay, positions and carrier growth. I was told I would have never become director since my university was not French. Hope it's not true.
