      Pros

      Good life-work balance. Good salary (at least if you are just begining your career) with a nice package. Very positive atmosphere: international, relaxed, open. Work independence

      Cons

      Tools used only by Amadeus, or simply outdated. Work often blocked due to some outage. Some level of office politics. Lots of legacy code very counterintuitive. Documentation redundant, hard to find and not well structured

      Pros

      Interesting projects. C++/Java for coding. Perl/Python for scripts. Includes web dev for tools. ORACLE for DB. Plenty of guidance for projects. A lot of travel. Many development sites with potential to move between them. Software impacts in a real way. Leader in aviation software. A lot of personal growth potential. Very multi-cultural.

      Cons

      No bleeding edge tools. Development centers are not always close to amenities (for example, London one is near the edge of London). Salary not as good as the banking industry or tech giants.
