Pros

Good structured career growth when compared to other companies. Rising stock value. Seattle is a decent place to live.

Cons

Could end up with a bad project and incompetent team where you may not develop your skills. Might feel lost in a ocean of engineers. Not eligible for EB2 green card as SDE I. This might become a recurring problem where some are forced to move to another country as they may never get picked in the H1B lottery. Have to rely on public transport to get to work.

Pros

It is among the big 4, so you choose your team and org carefully (and with some luck), you can grow in your career quickly

Cons

Employee benefits/perks are meager, diversity numbers are terrible and operational load can be a big burden depending on your team

Pros

Seattle is an awesome city to live in. Amazon's downtown location is very nice. Great company all around!

Cons

Not enough benefits like other big tech companies.
