Pros

Company has some amazing challenges in distributed systems and infrastructure engineering. Managers and teams are friendly but the workplace can get challenging at times.

Cons

Facilities are minimal and employer benefits aren't great. Driving to work is a pain exacerbated by the parking situation.

Pros

There are many great engineers working for Amazon, you can learn a lot while making decent money.

Cons

Burn rate at Amazon is very high, but it is very team specific. The average engineer stays only 1 1/2 years before moving on, which makes knowledge transfers and long term projects more difficult than they should be.
