rates are often high and unreasonable. they don't allow headphones for "safety" reasons yet it's safe to listen to blaring alarms and loud, continuous noise from machines or conveyors for hours on end. advancement in the company can only happen if you accept a role like a trainer or a helper of the safety department but it's unpaid. even though you're held to a higher standard, under more scrutiny and always expected to be of help of anyone who asks
