Being an SA in AWS

Pros

The embark process was well thought, it almost covered all you need to work as an SA in AWS. Once said that, its really nice to be welcomed, everybody in my team have been very respectful and supportive during these 3 months. You have plenty on time to focus on your onboarding and learn a lot of cool things in the AWS way. You will not be put in the frontline without receiving proper training, and I do not mean only watching videos or reading document, we have partners and colleges that share their experiences to you and also the chance to do shadowing for customers meetings or interviews. Definitely, this is the best since you can learn from experience in a safe environment. There are plenty of opportunities to learn from really skilled people in different topics, and as a result you would get an overview of options for you to choose how to develop your career and skills. In my case, I relocated to a different country with all the challenges that it means, however, the experience with AWS for this process has been really stress-free, could not have a better support!

Cons

I would not say "cons" but there are a couple of things that could be challenging: A lot of tools and probably it could be a little bit overwhelming at first but once you get used to it you will be fine. The LP are really part of your travel in AWS and it could be really frustrating to change your mindset at first, but again, the onboarding is also about to realize where we need to adapt and why we need to do it... you will have all the support from your leader and team for being successful. 9 moms can not make a baby in 1 month, so its all about to keep doing your best.
