Pros

- Huge ownership at Amazon means you are expected to choose your path and find the right ways to apply your work and time. For people who are self-driven, it's a huge opportunity to do your best work, and have a big machine of talent ready to back you up. - Emphasis on "earn trust" means that jerks don't succeed at Amazon. Leadership is generally well-meaning, respectful people who got there based on talent, no favoritism.

Cons

- Perks are stingy. Annoying things like hard to expense some items, hardware refreshes take too long, difficulty booking travel. - Environment can be competitive, sometimes people invest more in work that culture
