Pros

Decent pay but if you are salaried you will be working a minimum of 8 hours a week unpaid overtime, not even during peak/prime season. Great health insurance.

Cons

If you think this job cannot be as bad as everyone says it is, please listen to what others say about working in operations at a fulfillment center. It is that bad. I worked 50+ hours over 4 shifts every single week, was paid for 40, had limited time off options to offset the insane schedule, and had to take unpaid sick leave in order to keep my job due to not having enough PTO as a first year employee. Management at my site did not like any of the area managers sitting down outside of the short and limited breaks we had during a 12 hour shift so dealing with the constant fatigue and exhaustion was difficult as well. I struggle to find anything positive to say about my time there. My mental health was completely drained. Management expects area managers to be prison wardens and there are so many ad hoc tasks and admin jobs to do during the shift that we don’t actually get to be people managers at the end of the day. I think my site in the past calendar year has gone through 25+ managers because the job is simply not sustainable. It’s maybe doable as a first year out of college grad if you REALLY have no other options, but keep in mind your stocks don’t vest until 4 years out and you have to repay the sign on bonus if you leave before 1 year is up. Negotiate higher base pay and no bonus if you’re going to take the job, and be prepared to not have a life on days that you work due to the long shifts. Good luck if you work the night shift, it’s not for the weak.
