Pros

-Getting to work at one of the biggest companies in the history of humanity -Getting to work with some of the smartest and brightest minds in the world -Most people are kind and professional -Great pay and solid benefits -Able to move around different teams within the company relatively easily

Cons

-Expect to work 50-60 hours a week if you want to succeed -Poor work/life balance -High turnover rate, don't be surprised if you have 5 different managers you report to in the span of a calendar year -Due to high turnover and the high likelihood of management not backfilling, expect to take on other people's roles & responsibilities along with your own -Amazon expects you to be a self-starter and self-sufficient, if you are not then you will be viewed as a low performer -Expect projects/initiatives that your team has worked on for months/years to abruptly be stopped and thrown in the trash in favor of another project/initiative that leadership would like to work on, so don't get emotionally attached to your work -Employee feedback is usually never addressed with actionable steps

Pros

amazon is a large company so honestly reviews and experience is largely based on the team and your manager. If your manager wants to promote you, you’ll be promoted, but if your manager doesn’t support you it doesn’t matter how many project you do, you won’t be promoted. there are endless growth opportunities and great experience for anyone entry level.

Cons

return to office and other policies. it is clear that jassy is doing his best to get people to quit based on all the horrible policy changes. besides operations, the vast majority of jobs do not need to be in office but is forcing everyone to return, even when there isn’t enough office space.
