Pros

People heard of Amazon and AWS

Cons

– Lower compensation – On-call for everyone – Work-Work balance – Top-to-bottom, manager first culture – The biggest technical debt you would find among big companies

Pros

A lot of the experience will be based on team culture where you are based. I had a great time in Boston and learned a lot, but hit the same learning wall you would at any company early on in your career. There were opportunities to stay in the company and move to a different org, but I decided to leave for personal reasons.

Cons

Depending on your team and its service, you may be stuck in a sort of dead-end product and not learn much or work on new/exciting things. This might be beneficial for some, though.
