Pros

Overall company has best practices on operations and processes, provides lots of opportunities to learn and grow.

Cons

Some departments can be more rigid or prone to politics than others, and having a good manager is pivotal for progression within the company

Pros

Stock Bonus 2 weeks off first year, 3 weeks off after, 1 personal week Co-workers are all competent and friendly You get great experience working here. Once you work here, you can pretty much move to any other tech company you want to work for.

Cons

While Amazon gives stocks, the vesting schedule is harsh. Only 5% after one full year, 15% at the end of the second year, and 20 % at the end of the third year with an extra 20% each month until fully vested. There are a lot of clawbacks whenever you're presented with a bonus and Amazon is a penny pincher when it comes to the 401K and health benefits. Amazon is the largest tech company because they are the leanest in terms of benefits (meaning they don't spend as much on their employees).

Pros

The pay is great and AWS is the industry leader in it's field

Cons

Work culture "tries" to look out for work-life-balance but in effect the balance is nonexistent.
