Pros

Supportive leadership and peer team, meaningful work, numerous training opportunities, collaborative friendly work culture, flexible working arrangement (WFH), great benefits and competitive compensation, opportunity for growth, interesting and challenging work assignments.

Cons

Large and complex technical organization with many teams and applications to learn, sometimes makes it a challenge to create connections and really get to know your peers and leader on a personal level. 401k company match is low (max match of only 2%) compared with other companies that have a match of 4 - 8%. But restricted stock options make up the difference.

Pros

The culture really is peculiar. The focus on innovation is ubiquitous. Compensation is generous, makes you feel valued.

Cons

Some social stigma about employment at Amazon. Constant personnel change can be disruptive.
