Pros

- Meaningful work - Thoughtful leaders - Work arrangement flexibility - Easy to explore opportunities within the company - Decent work life balance (depending on the team)

Cons

- Base pay lower than other companies for similar roles and same amount of work - Frugality as a leadership principle for employees doesn't make sense in occasions where there is a huge amount of travel and you need to squeeze into economy for 8-12 hours to get to a different geography and are expected to get back work the next day.

Pros

You are surrounded by smart people in a big company that still feels like a startup. AWS and Amazon truly lives their leadership principles. I feel I can make a difference and continually grow in areas that other companies wouldn't afford me. Being a virtual worker is a big plus.

Cons

Amazon is a big company meaning you have to put effort into navigating the landscape and meeting people.
