Pros

Opportunities to problem solve at scale

Cons

Degradation of what once was an excellent culture. I see more and more non-Amazonian thinking in leaders and peers!

Pros

Employed during pandemic and really flexible, managers are supportive. Respect the value of expert.

Cons

Tons of cross time zone meetings, lots of meetings started from late night. Work load is ok but really hard to manage the impact from different time zones, I needed to cover 18-Hour time zones and exhausted.

Pros

Work with smart people. The way Amazon operates is innovative and are open to moving quickly and make changes when something isn’t working.

Cons

Extremely hard to move up and get a promotion. Amazon does not care about their employees anymore and makes you feel like a number. Forced RTO rollout was terrible and screwed over a lot of people who were hired remote yet assigned to offices too far to commute to and forced resignations when employees couldn’t comply with RTO. It’s been a way for Amazon to reduce the workforce without more layoffs.
