Pros

You get to learn from some awesome people that are obsessed with engineering, which can go either way depending on how passionate you are about the subject. One free coffee a day (not the cheap coffee pot coffee, they have a whole barista). Pay is fantastic. Every day is a new challenge.

Cons

It is a high-pressure environment with a lack of psychological safety. You just need to get things done, whatever it takes. If that means working overtime and weekends, you figure it out and do it. The pay is the carrot on the stick. Anyone is happy to take your spot if you can't manage. The leadership principles and annual reviews will keep you in the hot seat and never too comfortable. The expectation is that you continue to show growth, which may not always be possible year over year, depending on your life situation. If you have the energy, drive, and mindset to work here and you love a challenge, join in. But I will be honest in saying that a strong majority of people would much rather take a 30% pay cut to "buy" some safety, sanity, and boundaries, and that makes total sense. This is not a "challenge," though those who take it as one may be in the right mind to get a job here.
