Pros

I managed a great team of software developers and had great peer managers and manager.

Cons

Amazon's upper management mismanaged their growth projections, and I have yet to see them take ownership of it. I was hired in 2022 and laid off in 2023 after only working a few months. The communication and handling of layoffs were very poor. Also, the employment agreement was pretty one-sided. They promised me a very lucrative pay, bonus, and stock package, and with the layoffs, I only received a fraction. I would want the sign-on bonuses to be more guaranteed in a future agreement.
