Pros

Great to work on products which impact millions (or billions) of people. Lots of smart engineers and access to various perspectives. Focus on the customer is a priority and it's fun to interact with your users. Comp is above average. Work life balance is actually good which is not what I had heard before joining.

Cons

Some of the internal engineering tools are home grown and focused on scale over usability. There can be a lot of on-call depending on your team and the criticality of the product.

Pros

Great engineers, lots to learn, huge opportunities for impact, decent pay.

Cons

Over indexes on frugality, a bit of a cult fest. Oh - and (s)crappy internal tools.
