Working With Amazon

Pros

I really Love working for Amazon. It is a very physical job for me but I enjoy my job functions and duties. Everyone is encouraged to work with positive attitudes. Team work at it's best! I enjoy my surrounding coworkers. Fast paced, so time goes by quickly. Great pay!

Cons

Sometimes there are days where the work is finished before it is time to clock out, so we sometimes struggle to have things to do.

Unfortunate circumstances

Pros

schedules are only 4 hours can flex up to 5 or down to 2.

Cons

Flex up time can be announced 5 minutes before the end of sort. Flexing down can be announced 2 hours in to sort, meaning leaving at break so you will 2 hours for the day. Flexing up means adding an hour to your shift. On site HR does nothing to help you they will constantly refer you to the ERC which in turn will tell you to speak to on site HR creating a feedback loop of accomplishing nothing. Nothing will be resolved. If you are seasonal prepare for your final paycheck to not show up and have to sit on the phone for hours with the erc to get it resolved. When they hire seasonal they hire way too many people so expect a lot of standing around. Also seasonal white badge conversion to more permanent blue badge is less than one percent.

Great place to work at!

Pros

I worked at DEN5 for about 3 and a half years during college and it was one of the best places I've worked at. I've met some great people there and made long lasting relationships with some of my coworkers. Work was fairly easy and simple, mindless. I absolutely would return to work here again if only there were more full-time positions available.

Cons

Very physical, sometimes on feet for 10 hours and sometimes the shifts were only 3 hours long. Some people can be lazy and you'll have to pick up their slack. Breaks were only 15 minutes long, the walk to breakroom and back were part of that 15 minutes.
