You are a tiny cog in a juggernaut

Pros

Benefits for health and dental are immediate.

Cons

Try getting a bathroom break. Too busy to learn anyone's name. Human resources are not real HR staff that went to school for it...they are people who used to work on the floor pulling boxes and they never have answers. HR will ignore voice mails, emails and actually hang up on you. It could be weeks before you actually meet your "supervisor". You need internet to find notices about your job because a real human will never be asigned to tell you. The most impersonal management I have encountered. A friend got hurt on the job and he says the HR dept admits they don't know who to contact for what information. Says HR repeats "call your case manager" but HR doesn't even know if the case they speak of is through the state, the company handling it for Amazon, or elsewhere. Says he has spent hours on the phone trying get answers any to get transferred to various companies. An extremely "pass the buck" attitude when management is faced with a problem partially because they don't care and partially because management doesn't know what to do. It's like Walmart workers who will act within certain parameters but have difficulty with independent thought. They are gammas.
