Pros

Its easy to get a job without the dreaded interview process most employers insist on using resulting in a more diverse and interesting workforce.

Cons

Shifts can be up to 12HRS long with little to zero notice of mandatory overtime or hour extensions. Making friends is not prohibited as talking or socializing is detrimental to your RATE. RATE is not an acurate indicator of your performance..you wont make it most days and will be eventually written up despite your best effort. Computer system is slow and ruins your rate. There arent any robots..you are the robot. Managers agree with you on problems with rate ect but have no power to change anything. They hire 30 new people every other week bc so many people quit You cant sit down ever, and you might pass out bc it gets so hot. The whole place reaks of body odor and a decent ventilation system is nonexistent. Plan on coming home covered in box dust and filth. Attendance point system will terminate you. They have no interest in you making it 90 days so you can get your benifits (health insurance) It takes 5 to 7 min of your break just to get to a break area. Dont plan on having or using your cell phone for about 10 hours a day. Your monitored like a prisoner. Its really too hard to work anywhere else or even look for another job due to exhaustion. Your rate is shot if you need to use the restroom. Your constantly taking tylenol bc your body is constantly sore. Its very easy to injure yourself and if you dont have insurance your at the mercy of Amazons AmCare. A 15.00 an hour job that should be paying 18 to 20hr due to the overwhelmingly massive workload.
