Pros

Rapid development, ability to learn a lot and develop quickly in a short period of time if you put in the work and seize the opportunities

Cons

Typical elements of a toxic workplace. Not everywhere, but it’s prevalent. Politics, finger pointing, and empire building rather than top to bottom genuine team collaboration. That said, those characteristics have been present in every medium/large sized tech company I’ve been at in the last 15+ years which has aggressive / ambitious goals for innovation and are NPD-focused environments. It’s a bit amplified at AMZ but not by much.
