Pros

- Good for folks that are proactive and entrepreneurial by nature. You're encouraged to move fast and be the master of your own fate. If you see an innovation opportunity/vision in your space, then you can run with it. - Promotions are tough, but merit-based. You'll never feel like someone got it out of pure tenure. - Lots of learning opportunities and exposure to all sorts of teams and functions.

Cons

- Your experience will wildly depend on the team you land in, and how good your manager is. I'm blessed to have one that stands by us and has our backs, but there are plenty of examples of poor management and the resulting PIP horror stories. - The recent RTO mandates seem completely baseless, with wishy-washy arguments like "teamwork spirit, Amazon's culture" etc. - said by the company that will ruthlessly use numbers and cold data at every opportunity.
