      Pros

      Compensation is very competitive, although the stock isn’t doing great these days. Surrounded by smart and capable teammates.

      Cons

      Although many aspects are still “Day 1” here, other parts of the job drown in bureaucracy. If you’re not a strong writer, this is not the place for you.

      Pros

      It's a high growth company where you collaborate with brilliant people and help customers solve interesting problems. Intellectually stimulating and could be great.

      Cons

      AWS has the same culture as the rest of Amazon, a ruthless focus on output at all costs with no consideration for the people they churn through. My manager's boss increased expectations for my team during the pandemic when many colleagues were suffering.

      AWS has incredible people and commits to their customers and employees. I have waited years to find a company like this.

      Cons

      You must have the LPs and really want to learn. It is not a place to put your feet up. But they insist on work Life harmony. ( and its an objective of yours to demonstrate it )
