Pros

Lots of opportunities to tackle high impact projects and growth opportunities, own projects, etc.

Cons

Work life balance is awful, depending on team. Lots of empire building, over promising and under delivering for the sake of PR wins, unimpressed with overall engineering/software development talent. They want to treat SDEs like service slinging monkeys --- complex products requiring domain expertise struggle since service SDEs are the primary employee commodity.

Pros

You work with the smartest people in FAANG. Besides maybe FB.

Cons

The standards of work are military level high. Expect high stress and almost no room for error.
