Pros

Decisions are made based on actual engineering knowledge and there is a correct answer to engineering problems. This means that it isn't about people's feelings but their actual ability.

Cons

Work life balance sucks. If you do well, they expect you to do even more and they keep ratcheting that up more and more until you can't meet expectations.

Pros

Most colleagues are smart. You get knowledge on big tech company's product development and launch process.

Cons

Very high stress working environment. Deadlines are tight and a lot of reorganization and office politics. Also heavy oncall duties.
