Excellent benefits, 401K great, PTO the best . It is really beside anything a great company

Cons

Amex does accept discriminatory comments about their employees from card members on the surveys receive. If TBASS or survey comes with a negative score with discriminatory comments they still penalize employee. They do not care

Solid brand name recognition, discounted cafeteria food

Cons

Toxic, Toxic, Toxic work environment. Directors and above always talk about the culture and hire people based on fit. This mean NOTHING when those people are passive aggressive, self-promoting leaders. This has created an endless cycle of corporate culture with the same toxic people. Too many "sorority" cliques where if you're not political aligned, you won't get promoted.
