Leadership team lacks "leadership" skills. You must be self motivated. Leaders either are not driven to motivate growth or do not know how to effectively manage a team.

Management makes strange promotion decisions. Hiring and laying off seem to be cyclical based on the economy.

Nice family - work life balance. Reasonable compensation. If you provide value to the company, appreciation follows.

Cons

Sometimes, the promotion/hiring decisions for leadership positions are terrible. Buddy system works. Right now, I am not interested in leadership level positions but this could be an issue for me in the future.
