Nice Company With Lots of Problems

Pros

Business tries to create a fun and appreciative place to work. Outrageous trade show parties, celebration events to launch new products, and new sales milestones. Game products are cutting edge, creates a sense of pride with final deliverable. Systems has innovative products that enable the company to be competitive in the market place.

Cons

Management is a mess. Seems every year they restructure departments, creates lack of stability. Management would be lost without their executive assistants - culture is driven by EAs not management. Double standards for how conflicts and employee relations are managed and treated. Lots of management politics in play - a lot of back stabbing and double standards . Little opportunity for advancement - inconsistent mentoring and coaching. Too many politics play in all departments to get simple projects completed in a timely manner, efforts that should take weeks drag out to be months, leaves you with a track record of not accomplishing what you set out to do. Frustrating.

Pros

Great benefits, great people, lots of support, great culture in office(a lot of events, free lunches, sporting competitions), decent work/life balance, lots of potential extra paid days off depending on if you end up working or traveling for the company over the weekend, great base amount pto, very few layoffs/firings in at least the tech services department, very friendly stag with very little drama/politics(at least in tech services department)

Cons

Long hours whenever you're assigned a project(potential of 80 hours), high turnover(quitting), lackluster employee reviews(management does not bother giving criticism unless direly needed or personally asked), poor internal documentation for products, culture of few people do a majority of the work (causing employees to have health problems), very little potential for upward movement
