Pros

Perfect work setting. Great work life balance and the opportunity to work with truly inspiring people. A great place to continually learn at the cutting edge of science.

Cons

High level miss managent of the company following the merger. Wrong behaviours adopted and encouraged. The tail wags the dog far too often.

Pros

MedImmune is part a giant of a company with entrepreneurial spirit. It's like having a blank check to develop products for a small company. Therefore there's a lot of different things to work on. Lots of things to be exposed to, a lot of great scientist to work with. Lots of exciting things to look forward to.

Cons

MedImmune is working to get out from under the cloud. Despite the rain, the pace hadn't slowed down. You really need to dry yourself off and really hit the ground hard. It's very competitive, which makes it hard to climb ladders without a PhD

Pros

If you are working in R&D there are plenty opportunities to progress in your carrier. Apart from that I would ass to pros: atmosphere within the local team, fair salaries, understanding from the management that each employee need to maintain work-private life balance

Cons

Constant changes without investigating/confirming whether previously implemented improvement have started to work. Pure communication across functions in R&D. An attitude towards new eployees that everybody needs to gain his/her own experience without sharing information how a particular task can be done effciently; as there are no procedures understood as workflow for required activities to be completed in order to meet any milestone it makes a work of the team unefficient. Rein ytear structurization in R&D causing that in year or two there will be nobody to seek for lessons learnt
