Great friendly leadership. Excellent mentoring program.

Cons

Pharma industry experiencing heavy consolidation due to inability of pharmaceutical companies to develop new blockbuster drugs largely due to the fact that most simplistic biological and biochemical drug mechanisms have been developed.

Pros

Compared to many other biotech companies in the area MedImmune pays its employees more and offers great benefits. If you are in any area outside of manufacturing you will probably be happy.

Cons

Does not seem to care about work-life balance of employees. Back in January they created a new 24/7 schedule but it doesn't work well for those on night shift. You will either be working every holiday or every Fri night. Recently they have been bringing in more people from the outside as opposed to hiring from within. This has made it more difficult to change departments.
