Cons

Recent flattening of management structure was well-intentioned but greatly restricts development opportunities for early/mid-career scientists and forces many of the motivated and ambitious to move on (when it would be nice to retain them!)

Start up environment and nice people working here.

Cons

They don't sponsor work visas even for people they've hired. There's a nonexistent HR presence and the pay in CA is only 15% above the NC office, even though the cost of living is much higher. It's a churn and burn environment for most people working here. They don't conduct exit interviews to find out why people are leaving. Perhaps they don't care about the people who work here?
