Has been described as a passive-aggressive organisation which is very true - hard to get things done People generally unhappy and disengaged, due to low pay, high workloads and little transparency from upper management Not the most innovative of Big pharma - content to fast follow and acquire late stage assets once validated rather than invest in their own original R&D Hard to get promoted and unclear what is required to progress

Salaries are highly competitive, incentive and rewards are also high Some great people across the business who lead by example

Cons

Management is incredibly hierarchical and does not live by it's own stance of 'doing the right thing' therefore letting those who are there to help and grow the business, get looked over Diversity and speak up cultures are just there so support for employees feels a little false

AstraZeneca, great company in general to work for.

Cons

Technology does not live up to the AZ values. Particularly in the UK and the Macclesfield site. Very little diversity, next to no people of colour or differing backgrounds within what is a large organisation of over 200 people. Nepotism is rampant with jobs going to mates, all from the same socio background. Decision making is not transparent, training is poor unless one of the 'chosen' ones
