Pros
BAT is an amazing company to work for, for a whole host of reasons! - It is by far my favorite career-move to date! . . .
- Amazing culture - people are friendly, engaging, outgoing, and enjoy their work.
- Amazing opportunity in terms of personal growth - offices all over the world, exciting new programmes / ventures / functions constantly arising!
- Senior Management are carefully selected and excellent leaders / mentors almost all of the time
- In terms of benefits - the company clearly has an interest in their employees wellbeing, and goes out of there way to look after people
- The actual Office Locations are amazing in whatever city you visit! (especially the London Headquarters)
- It is an exciting / engaging place to work, and despite being a tobacco company, is also one of the most caring, ethical and socially responsible companies that I have ever come across!
Cons
- It obviously has a small amount of social-stigma that the minority of people associate with a Tobacco company, however when educated on the amount of charitable / CSR work that we carry out, along with the fact that as an organisation we are leading the way in next-generation products and bringing to market alternative non-tobacco products to expand consumers choices (like being the first/only company to have actual government backing for our alternative non-tobacco products to be used in the medical profession) - people soon realise that many of the assumptions of what a company like ours is/does are quite innaccurate! . . .
