Varied & interesting work (not pigeonholed) Ability to work from home 1 day a week (hours can be high) Very good pay higher up the ladder Genuine coaching/supportive culture (while things are going well to middling)

Cons

Management - progression through the ranks very much depends on your manager Management - espouse leadership & individual ownership of results, however when significant issues/challenges occur revert to a blame mentality apparently driven by a strong tendency to protect their personal KPI's/bonuses (which can be substantial dollars)

- Friendly culture - Good compensation and benefits - Global opportunities (if you know the right people...) - Emphasis on personal / professional development - Very strong company performance, sound financials

Cons

- Politics! Promotions and career moves largely a result of personal networks and "visibility" rather than competence and performance - Senior management often very egotistical, and can be arrogant - When things go wrong the blame is put on junior managers; success is attributed to senior managers and directors
