- Good people - Good environment - work events

Cons

- certain teams don't follow bdo values - depending on the team you are underpaid and overworked - often find creative ways not to promote employees - you have to present a whole business case and match against behaviours and also be proving your doing the role above for a year. However an external candidate can get the same job based on 2 interviews

the overall office environment is not bad, much better than MNP where I worked for 1 year and quit. if you work hard and smart, you will get promoted. Unlike MNP, the first week I was there, the partner who hired me told me to get close to the office managing partner and kiss his rear end to get promoted fast. Good for him, he became partner at 30.

Cons

Same as other accounting firms, lots of turnovers, low pay, and long hours. Managers are not as competent as big 4s(I worked in one of them for a couple of years), there was a time a manager who only worked on NTRs was assigned to review my Audit work. She had no clue what she was doing the whole time. I have to take my time to train her on a variety of things. LOL

None! Other than they gave some great clients!

Cons

Executive Management is clueless and reactive and they always take the easiest solution to issues. Those “solutions” are generally suboptimal!! Local management is mostly inexperienced and hampered by executive management’s weaknesses. If you are looking for quality, effective training BDO is not the place to be!
