      Good work experience, environment, lots of hours, pay could be better

      Pros

      BDO is a growing company and I gained good auditing experience from them. You may have some small clients that allow you the gain the experience (and headache) of doing pretty much an entire audit by yourself. This can be a mess but in the end I've had the opportunity to work on many different facets instead of working for months on one area of a mega-huge corporation.

      Cons

      Pay seems to be less than big 4, hours seem to be more (longer duration of busy season), some people work considerably more than others

      Pros

      Getting to work with great partners - some very talented and experienced people with great client relationships. Exposure to clients means you can feedback into the marketing toolkit which is very positive. Lots of room for personal entrepreneurship such as picking up additional projects although there is limited scope for other career progression.

      Cons

      Little room in marketing for career progression, and very little support unless you are one of the select few. Low morale in the marketing team leading to little teamwork across the business, and initiatives to bring more team spirit squashed by the Marketing Director.

      Pros

      The other consultants here operate at a VERY high level, many are ridiculously smart when it comes to their area of focus. That gives you confidence walking in to a project that you've got the right team behind you should you need them. Your skills will get sharp and stay sharp.

      Cons

      No 401k matching as mentioned by someone else. Wouldn't mind more vacation time, but it's industry average here. I can't complain about too much else.
